What is the Elo system of mathematical calculations?
The elo system is a method that calculates the relative skill of players in sports such as chess.
It is named after its inventor, professor Arpad Elo 1903-1992), who was an American physicist of Hungarian origin.
In 1997, Bob runyan introduced the elo system to international football, as an alternative to the FIFA ranking to place 200 international teams in order. However the elo system has gone under some changes.
