The USWNT team secured a place in the World Cup next year with a convincing display against the Reggae girls as they thrashed Jamaica 5-0. The match took place at the BBVA stadium in Monterrey, Mexico.
The USWNT became the 12th team to secure their place in Australia & New Zealand next year for the 2023 World Cup.
The USWNT is in the driving seat for the ticket for Olympics

Sophie Smith ended up scoring a brace in the first ten minutes which had put the USWNT in the driving seat early on in the match and had marked her sixth and seventh goal of the year.
Then the second half arrived where goals from Rose Lavelle, Kristie Mewis and Trinity Rodman were enough to finish off the Reggae girls and considering this match was played in the heat it was a remarkable result for the American women to achieve.
Sophie Smith’s opener set the record for the fastest goal ever scored by any player in the Concacaf Championships so far.
The USWNT is on top of the Concacaf Championship table. In the first half the USWNT dominated possession as they kept the ball in the Jamaican half most of the game while registering 10 shots with six of them being on target and only allowing two shots from the Jamaican women.
Trinity Rodman’s goal made her the 4th different goal scorer of the game and also made her the youngest USWNT player to score for the United States of America in a World Cup or an Olympic Qualifier since 2008.
Naomi Girma also had an outstanding match as she registered her first ever assist in three country appearances for the USWNT giants.
