Kevin de Bruyne
Kevin de Bruyne will definitely be an interesting prospect for the upcoming season. De Bruyne has helped Man City win four premier league titles in five seasons. He won the PFA player of the year award in 2020 and 2021. He also helped Manchester City get 100 points in the 2017-18 season. To add to his many achievements he won four consecutive EFL Cups. He also helped City win the English quadruple in 2019 which is hard to do in England. Lastly he also helped Man City reach the Champions League final in 2021.
Darwin Nunez
The Uruguayan arrives at Anfield after an amazing season with Benfica. He was the top scorer in the Portuguese League with 26 goals and managed to score an outstanding 34 in the whole season. He guided Benfica to the final in the Portugal Cup. Nunez helped Benfica make the Champions League last eight something they had not achieved in six years. He did show concerns however in his first two preseason games when he failed to score. He then bounced back by scoring four against Leipzig and scoring his first official goal against Manchester City. Liverpool will hope he can live upto his full potential. The Reds will also be hoping that he can deliver the same goods as he did last season.
Mohamed Salah
Salah won the PFA Player of the Year this past season. The Egyptian Pharoah guided Liverpool to the Champions League final and also came 2nd in the Premier League. Mo Salah has won three Golden Boots in 2018, 2019 and 2022. Salah also guided his Egyptian team to the AFCON final against Senegal. Salah has guided Liverpool to three finals in five years one in which they won in 2019.
Bruno Fernandes
Bruno Fernandes will be crucial in helping United succeed this season. In his first season when he joined in mid season he helped Man Utd go unbeaten for the rest of the season. He managed to score 8 in 14 matches in that season which helped them come in 3rd. Then the following season he helped Man Utd come in 2nd place and guided them to the Europa League finals. Despite Man Utd faltering in all competitions last season Bruno will be hoping to guide United to success this season.
Erling Haaland
Haaland has all the qualities of a top striker as he averaged nearly a goal a game for Dortmund and for Norway. He helped Dortmund to 2nd place last season. Haaland helped Dortmund win the DFB Pokal in 2021. Haaland also guided Dortmund to the quarter final last season and in that same season scored an astonishing 41 goals. Man City always plays a false nine and they will have to get used to playing a real center forward however Haaland can bring goals to the Blues.
