This shows how much soccer has grown in America in the last few years. The USA hosts the International Champions Cup every summer which is a summer preseason tournament. Despite not being a prestigious competition it brings the best teams and the best players up against each other. The US is also hosting the 2026 FIFA WORLD CUP which further proves its growing interest for soccer.

Players like Christian Pulisic, Weston Mckennie and Tyler Adams just to name a few all play for top clubs in Europe. Considering a few USMNT players play for top clubs it gives many Americans a reason to watch club soccer. This year they made it to the round of 16 losing to a worthy opponent the Netherlands and they even impressively drew with England. The previous year they won the Concacaf Nations League and the Gold Cup. The mens national team has grown in the past few years and many could argue that this is one of the best ever USMNT. As a matter of fact the USMNT is actually ranked 13 in FIFA Rankings beating Germany, Uruguay, Colombia, Denmark and their great rivals Mexico.

Lastly another reason Soccer is growing in the USA is the fact that the womens team is just simply phenomenal. The are the most successful team in Women’s World Cup history with four wins. They also won back to back World Cups being the second team to ever do so. They have a host of brilliant players in their squad such as Alex Morgan, Megan Rapinoe, Carli Lloyd and others. To add on to the history of their success they have never been outside the top four in their history. They have also won three straight Concacaf Gold Cups and nine in total. The USWNT even won three straight SheBelieves Cup. They had even gone on a streak of winning 13 straight games this year scoring 52 goals. Right now the USWNT is in first place in FIFA Rankings and they are the favorites going into the World Cup.
