Arsenal vs Manchester City which is probably one of the most important games on the Premier League delivering up to its status is an understatement. Both teams were fighting for a place in 1st and this clash could end by being a big deciding factor in the title race. Arsenal has not won the Premier League since their invincibles. Manchester City had cruised to an important win however they drew 1-1 with Nottingham Forest which put them a step back after they had beaten Arsenal. Arsenal took advantage of Manchester Citys slip up and beat Aston Villa 4-2 with a game in hand.
Arsenal seeking to win their first title in nine years
Manchester City has cruised to past Arsenal in midweek but it would prove to be very little as they dropped points against Nottingham Forest. The midweek game was mostly dominated by City especially in the last 20 minutes as they scored twice. The Premier League champions are seeking to win their 5th championship in six years but will have to overcome a young talented Arsenal team. Arsenal have their game in hand against Everton and what better way to do it at home in front of your fans. Even if they could go five points clear Arsenal have a history of throwing away leads. However Arsenal have a new looking squad and a good coach and will aim to go all the way.
The premier league race set to go right to the wire
Arsenal will be keen not to make the same mistake as Liverpool and throw away the lead being so close to the finish line. The premier league is very competitive and a five point lead can be squandered easily. The two teams face each other again on April 26th at Etihad. That clash could potentially play a big role in deciding out the title race and if City win the pressure will be on Arsenal. Despite the title not being guaranteed Arsenal have a chance of playing champions league football next season which is increasingly likely. Arsenal have missed out on the competition for six years and they will likely return next season.
