Saudi Pro League growing at a fast rate
Saudi Arabian football continues to grow as Benzema becomes the latest star to go there. This is set to be a league that grows in the next few years as plenty of stars are already there and are already rumored to be going there. The Frenchman is set to sign for Al-Ittihad for £171 million move. This is close to Cristiano Ronaldo’s deal which is £173 million after he secured his move to Al Nassr to become the highest paid footballer.
Benzema the latest star to move to Saudi
Benzema and Ronaldo spent nine years together at Real Madrid and won a total of seventeen trophies together during their time. They will go from teammates to potentially forming the most dangerous rivalry in Saudi Arabia. Benzema who won the Ballondor in 2022 called it quits as he left Los Blancos after 14 years. He managed to net an incredible 354 goals during his 14 year stint at Real Madrid. He will be joining Saudi Pro League champions Al-Ittihad where he will hoping to win everything possible during his 3 years at the club.
A number of stars expected to join Ronaldo, Benzema & co
There are many other players who could be on the move to Saudi Arabia to boost the league. The likes of Navas, Kante, Modric, Firmino and many others have all been linked with mega moves to Saudi Arabia. Neymar has also been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia and apparently this deal could match that of Ronaldo. After Al-Hilal missed out on Messi they now switched their attention to Neymar. Saudi Arabian football is set for a big transfer window that could boost their league. Considering they also may host the World Cup in 2030 the next few years could be big for Saudi Arabia. Ronaldo even believes that in the next five years they could be in the top five leagues in the world.
