Despite Kompany learning from Guardiola he still proved that he is no match for the Spanish tactician. Burnley had a debut to forget as they began their campaign with a loss against Manchester City. The Clarets secured promotion after coming in first place under the management of Kompany. Then Rodri added a third goal to close off the game and give Manchester City the three points. City will now prepare to face Sevilla in the UEFA Super Cup at the Karaiskakis Stadium in Piraeus Greece.
