Al Nassr come out on top of bitter rivals
Al Nassr faced off against bitter rivals Al-Hilal in the Arab Club Champions Cup. It was Al Nassr who won the game in extra time thanks to a winner from Cristiano Ronaldo. Al-Alami managed to break their drought and win their first title since January 2021 by defeating their great rivals in the Riyadh Derby. Al Hilal surrender their lead in the Riyadh derby
Al-Hilal were stunned by local rivals Al Nassr as they surrendered their lead. Al Hilal had several chances to score in the game but failed to capitalize and punish Al-Alami. The best chance came in stoppage time as Malcolm forced a good save from Alaqidi. The rebound then fell to Michael but he failed to put it in the back of the net. Al Za’eem took the lead through Brazilian midfielder Michael in the 51st minute. 23 minutes later Al Nassr equalized against Al-Hilal to put the pressure on Al Hilal. Al-Hilal then fell behind as Ronaldo gave Al Nassr the lead in the 98th minute.

Al Nassr made history as they managed to win the Arab Club Champions Cup for the first time in their history. Al-Nassr fell behind as Al Hilal took the lead in the Riyadh Derby. Then 23 minutes later non other than Cristiano Ronaldo equalized through a tap in. Al Nassr then continued to pile the pressure on Al-Hilal as they got chances. In the build up to Ronaldo’s winner the ball fell to Sadio Mane who tried to play the ball into Ronaldo. The ball was cleared however and it fell to Fofana who struck the post and the rebound was headed in by Ronaldo. Ronaldo also managed to win his first trophy in Saudi Arabia.
