Vitor Roque’s arrival on December 27th meant that he became the latest Brazilian to join the Blaugranes. Roque will also go on to sign what is believed to be an eight year contract. The Brazilian will officially be able to play in January meaning that he could make his debut against Las Palmas.

Roque is finally in Barcelona
Vitor Roque will without a doubt have pressure to perform considering the countrymen that came before him. The likes of Ronaldinho, Neymar, Romario, Ronaldo and Rivaldo all enjoyed amazing spells while at Barcelona. The 18 year old boy from Atletico Paranaense will want to follow in their footsteps by being the next big Brazilian to shine at Barca. Roque will hope to make history at the club as it is his dream to represent the Catalan giants. Vitor Roque would also want to be a good replacement for Lewandowski.
Roque could save Barcelona’s La Liga season who are in 4th and seven points behind leaders Real Madrid and Barcelona. Barcelona will also be glad that he will be able to feature in the Champions League against Napoli as they registered him before February 2nd. His addition to the squad also makes Barcelona stronger challengers for the Champions League. He will also join an already stacked attack of Lewandowski, Yamal, Ferran, Felix and Raphinha. They will without a doubt have competition for the starting 11 and Roque’s place will be determined by his performances.
