Real Madrid hoping to secure a place in the final

Real Madrid host La Real in a thrilling encounter to decide which Spanish club moves on to the next round. Los Blancos will have the advantage going into the game with a home advantage and a slender 1-0 win. La Real will be hoping to turn things around on Tuesday after a miserable month in march where they only picked up one victory.
Can their star power get them over the line
Although Real Madrid boast some of the best talents in the world like Bellingham, Mbappe and Vinicius they have been far from convincing this season. They have struggled to produce the performances that were expected of them this season. Los Blancos have struggled to find balance in the midfield. Many will blame that to the loss of Kroos who controlled the tempo of the game. The closest player who provided the same quality is Ceballos and he has been ruled out until the end of April.
Mbappe back to his best
If there is one positive aspect Real Madrid can take heading into this 2nd leg is that Mbappe is back scoring. The Frenchman had a slow start to the season receiving backlash for his timing of runs and movements in the box. They can also take the fact that Academy Prospect Asencio has had a revolutionary season producing mature performances at the back. Real Madrid must ensure solidity at the back as La Real have players who can exploit that
La Real pose serious attacking threats

Real Sociedad will not be intimidated by Real Madrid as they would have been before. Sociedad faced Los Blancos earlier this season and were unlucky not to get the three points considering the chances that they had. The Basque outfit are feared around Spain and they certainly have the attacking weapons to run through Real Madrid’s midfield and expose their fragile defense. Zubimendi, Sucic, Kubo and Oyarzabal Sociedad will have more than enough to expose Los Blancos.
Basque team looking to bounce back

The Basque outfit will also be looking to bounce back after their humbling Europa League defeat at the hands of the Red devils. If Real Madrid show fragility in their midfield then La Real can exploit that weakness. However it must be noted that Real Sociedad do not have the best defense either as they have conceded a total of 13 goals in 6 games. This defensive weakness could see the likes of Mbappe get in between any spaces that are open. Elustondo and Zubeldia are going to have to develop a strong defensive partnership if they are to keep out Mbappé.
