It has not been the start that Los Angeles FC would have hoped to have. They managed to put that behind them thanks to a single goal from Academy grown player Ordaz. Despite the famous victory LAFC were dominated for most of the game. They will hope to defend a slight 1-0 edge next week to secure a place in the next round. The Black and Gold Falcons will have to change that if they are to stand any chance of reclaiming the prestigious MLS title.

Inter Miami did not get the result they would have wanted nor the result that was expected. The Herons will have it all to do in the return leg as they aim to overturn a narrow deficit in hopes of reaching the semis. Inter Miami bowed out of the Concacaf Champions Cup last time around and will want to go all the way this season.
Their hopes of an unprecedented Champions Cup lie in the hands of Talisman Lionel Messi and whether he is fit. With the Argentine’s vision, passing and ability to beat multiple defenders any team that boasts Messi in their ranks always has a chance. Their attention turns the MLS when they taken on Canadian outfit Toronto in a bid to maintain first place. Whether Messi is rested or not remains to be seen on the weekend.
