Inter Miami book their spot in the semis
Inter Miami seal their place in the semi finals after overturning a 2-0 deficit to win 3-2 on aggregate. The Herons comeback was inspired by none other than the great Lionel Messi who scored two goals to seal the victory. This proved to be an uphill battle as LAFC are known for their strong defense which Miami were always going to have a hard time breaking down.
Messi steals the show once again
Lionel Messi’s brilliance once against proved to be the difference for his side who seemed down and out of the contest. Their attacking display as well as their high pressing game proved to also be instrumental to their victory. The Herons will now be clear favorites to win the Concacaf Champions League with them getting a favorable draw against Vancouver. They also will play the 2nd leg in front of their fans which will give them the boost to get through this tie.
LAFC’s low block fails to keep out Miami
Despite LAFC having a solid defensive they simply had no answer to the brilliance of Lionel Messi. They thought they had one foot in the semi finals already having taken the lead however Miami changed that narrative. LAFC were unable to cope with Inter Miami’s dominant display in attack as good as their defense is they could not contain the Floridians. LAFC will now turn their attention to the MLS Cup which they are one of the favorites to win. They will hope to regain the MLS Cup which they won two years ago against Philadelphia Union. With the likes of Dennis Bouanga known for his goalscoring they surely have a chance against anybody.
