Both Girona and Bayer Leverkusen failed to even make the top 10 of their table which shows nothing is impossible in football.
Michel’s side comeback against Rayo Vallecano saw them continue to lead the table for the second matchday in a row. Blanquivermells have only dropped 5 points in 13 games with their only loss coming to Los Blancos. Leverkusen on the other hand remains the only unbeaten side in Europe. Alonso has turned Leverkusen’s fortunes around immensely. Before the Spaniard took charge last season, Leverkusen only picked up one victory in 8 games.
