Necaxa make comeback against Puebla

Necaxa

The Rayos del Necaxa added their second victory of the nascent Clausura 2024 tournament of the Liga MX by beating Puebla by a score of 1-2 on the road at the Cuahutémoc stadium.

However, Puebla went ahead on the scoreboard when Lucas Daniel Cavallini scored a penalty in the 59th minute, during the second half.

But the Necaxa Rays had other plans, at 78 in an accurate header, in the center from the left, Edgar Antonio Méndez scored the tying goal.

There was even more than the winning goal from Aguascalientes, at 82 with a header from Diber Armando Cabino, from a foul on the left, leaving the Puebla goalkeeper with no chance.

With this score, Necaxa reached six points, and on January 27 they receive the Águilas del América, while Puebla, which after two days does not have any points, receives Toluca on January 26.
