The study, conducted by mystery box site Cases.gg, analyzed eBay listings for sports jerseys of all sports teams in the National Football League, the National Basketball Association, Major League Baseball, the National Hockey League, and the Major League Soccer.
The results were then ranked to identify the most resold team jerseys in the nation’s major professional sports leagues.
The study found that the Los Angeles Lakers have the highest number of eBay listings across all the major professional sports leagues, with 16,761 jerseys currently listed for sale.
The Green Bay Packers rank second with 14,405 jerseys listed for sale, and the Dallas Cowboys closely follow in third place with 14,041 listed jerseys as of September 2024.

The most resold Major League Soccer sports jerseys are LA Galaxy jerseys, with 948 eBay listings.
Seattle Sounders FC jerseys have been listed 924 times for sale on eBay, the second highest number of listings in the league. Atlanta United FC has the third-most resold jerseys, with 590 jerseys currently listed for sale on eBay.
